Dicta Dicta - Dictation game. Students pair up. One partner reads given challenge material (poetry, lyrics, etc), while the other writes. The first pair to turn in a correct piece of writing is the winner. Kynesthetic component: scatter versus around the room.

Matamoscas - Scatter the vocab words on some surface, then let representatives from 2 teams take turns searching for vocab words based on a given oral description or translation. Also can be done by students at their desks in pairs, as a review activity.

Outburst - in preparation, give students index cards with categories, have them fill in with lists of examples on each card. Then you’re ready to play. Shuffle and distribute cards to tables (groups of 3?). One student draws a card and gives the category, while another tries to get as many examples as she/he can - for points.

Contraseña - Password! Students play in pairs. Student A is in position to view the teacher/screen. Student B is positioned so that she/he cannot see. Student A uses words in the target language to try to get student B to guess the password. PPT support.

Simón Dice - Simon Says

Chiles y Cacahuates - Another vocab game. Representatives from 2 teams compete in turn. Teacher works with one team, and then the other, showing one side of a vocab flashcard. Student guesses the meaning and the card goes into a right or wrong pile. Student has 1 minute to earn the most possible right answers. The whole class watches and reviews to be best prepared when their own turn comes.

Cuento y Dibujo - Students sit in a circle. Students begin by writing one complete sentence at the top of their paper. This sentence should, as much as possible, tell a story. Students pass the papers to their right. Next student reads the sentence and draws a picture representing the given sentence. That same student then folds the paper back so that the sentence no longer shows, only his addition shows. Then the students pass papers right. The new recipient of the paper views the picture and composes a corresponding sentence based on interpretation..... etc
